ABOUT

My Background

Larmie is a senior at Indiana University Bloomington pursuing a degree in Journalism and a French minor. His concentration is in Broadcast Journalism and he intends to leverage his skills to the best of his abilities in order to finally realize a lifelong dream of being a reporter/news presenter. However, until this dream is realized, he welcomes any opportunities to receive an internship or job in the field of Journalism.

He's a well-traveled young man who has lived in six countries: Liberia, Ghana, Nepal, Tanzania, Kenya and the US. Furthermore, he has had an opportunity to visit dozens of other countries in his two decades of life. These opportunities to travel the world have taught him a lot about himself and about what he expects from others. He is a lifelong learner and he expects others to have a thirst for knowledge.

He wants to explore every nook and cranny that the world has to offer in order to tell inspiring and untold stories. He welcomes any opportunities to work creatively as an individual or as part of a reporting team.

WRITING

As an aspiring reporter, I recognize the importance of writing a well-crafted story that is why I have practiced writing for television, radio, print and online.

Editing

EDITING

As an aspiring multimedia journalist, I understand that writing is not enough. I work hard to learn new ways to edit in order to tell more compelling stories.

FILMING

As an aspiring storyteller, I understand that editing is difficult without good footage. That is why I strive to find creative and comprehensive ways to film stories.

“There are some situations one simply cannot be neutral about, because when you are neutral you are an accomplice. Objectivity doesn't mean treating all sides equally. It means giving each side a hearing.”
